Alliance wine and cigares ?

French sweet wines: Banyuls, Rivesaltes, Maury, close to Porto, combine well with advanced havana. The tasters of the Cigar Amateur have selected the Maury 81, Chabbert de Barbera cuvée from the cooperative winery, good value for money.

The Wine-Cigare Alliance is not instantaneous. For there to be a mutual enrichment, the wine must be sufficiently wooded and have a good persistence in the mouth. The ardor of the young wine is less harmonious with the havana than the eaux-de-vie long ripened in barrels, where they have been fused and subtle.
